| Delmarva Christian High School At DCHS, Horizon has designed and is implementing a $650,000 campaign to build-out certain areas of the school including a connecting hallway and lobby, the DCHS library and new administrative offices. Rusty Dukes has signed on to chair this important effort, which will allow the school to serve up to 250 students. |
| Donna Stone accepts Chair of Dover Public Library Former State Rep. Donna Stone, now branch manager for TD Bank in Dover, has accepted the assignment as chair of the new $4.2 million Dover Public Library Campaign, which Horizon is managing. Terri Nellans Brown is also chairing the Medical Committee for the campaign and Michelle Saunders is heading up the new events committee. A fall event for Dover's next generation of leaders is being planned. |
| The Greater Lewes Foundation The board of the GLF is considering a series of possible community projects that have grown out of its "FutureScan" project, overseen by Horizon. |
| Lewes Public Library Horizon is working with the Library board in the early stages of planning for a new or expanded facility to meet needs for the next 30 years. |
| WCDC Receives Leadership Gift Horizon is helping implement a $2.5 million campaign to rebuild the WCDC, which was destroyed by fire. A $250,000 leadership gift was just given to the WCDC capital campaign by Honorary Chair Betty Wilde, who is also leaving a significant bequest to the Center. Mrs. Wilde's Lifelong commitment to disabled adults originated with her younger sister, Sylvia, who had Down's Syndrome. |
| NSC Agrees to Buy SGCC Facility The board of the Nanticoke Senior Center has agreed to purchase the former Seaford Golf & Country Club facility for use as its new headquarters. The City of Seaford will manage the adjacent golf course, tennis courts and swimming pool as a new public recreational facility. Horizon has already helped raise 52% of the funds required for the SGCC facility renovations. |
